ITEX Corporation (OTCBB:ITEX), announced its annual national convention is being held at the Red Lion Hotel on 5th Avenue this week, May 14 through 17, in downtown Seattle (WA). To launch this special occasion, ITEX hosted its annual shareholder meeting at the Monday onset.

�ITEX, a leading marketplace for cashless business transactions in North America, each year hosts a first-class international convention for its franchisees, brokers and staff, the largest in its industry,� declared CEO and Chairman Steven White. �We dedicate a solid three days to strategizing, sharing ideas and learning from each other. With the milestone of thirty years, we wanted to create additional excitement by having franchisees participate in our annual meeting, also allowing shareholders to interact with other stakeholders.�

Highlights

Monday � Annual Shareholders Meeting � The afternoon meeting boasted an enthusiastic crowd, exceeding 70 in attendance. Following the meeting, franchisees enjoyed a sunny, warm evening with an opening night mixer at the Terrace Lounge, featuring Seattle�s largest outside deck.

Tuesday � Owners Day � Miss Washington state, Britney Henry, welcomed franchisees and introduced CEO Steven White for opening comments, which was followed by a Q & A session. Additional sessions for franchise owners focused on how to grow and manage their businesses. 

Wednesday � New Member Registrations & Customer Service � The Customer Service presentation will focus on how to hire effective sales people, prospecting tools, sales presentation tips/strategies and closing techniques; concurrent with a full slate of customer service best practices and technique sessions.

Thursday � Corporate Overviews � Presentation by both ITEX�s CEO and Vice President Brian Argetsinger, including Seattle Storm (W-NBA team) CEO Karen Bryant discussing sports and business, as well as Senator Michael Baumgartner on economic development. The day will be ending with an evening Awards Ceremony and dinner celebrating the achievements of the franchisees this past year.
